Singtel Group is seeking a strategic and technically proficient Associate Director to accelerate AI adoption across Singtel Group. This role is ideal for someone with around 8-10 years of experience in AI and/or data analytics.
The successful candidate will
- Continually refine Singtel Group AI Strategy, Roadmap and Playbook that business units actively use
- Establish a robust KPI and value-tracking system that gives leadership visibility into AI impact
- Create a strong Group AI narrative, including a well-received newsletter and consistent communications
- Help Singtel stay ahead of AI trends
- Build strong alignment with senior stakeholders
Make an Impact by
AI Strategy, Roadmap & Playbook
- Continually refine the Group AI Strategy and multi-year roadmap, in line with Group and operating companies’ business priorities.
- Translate the strategy into a practical Group AI Playbook
- Ensure the strategy and playbook are regularly updated based on lessons from projects, technology developments and market trends.
AI KPIs & Value Tracking
- Define common AI KPIs and value frameworks
- Track and report Group AI performance, analyse results, and surface insights
Communications & Engagement
- Shape the Group AI narrative and communicate via different channels e.g. Group AI newsletter
AI Innovation Series
- Conduct sensing – market/competitor scans, internal interviews, partner insights to identify thematic focus
- Develop Theme Insight Packs that summarise trends, opportunities, risks and implications
- Conduct joint learning sessions with technology providers and experts for Singtel Group of companies
- Establish approach and options for the theme
AI Seed Fund
- Conduct proposal evaluation sessions to select meritorious projects
- Administer funding to support proposal
- Track project progress
- Determine follow up actions upon project completion
Skills for Success
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Data/Analytics, or a related field.
- MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is preferred but not mandatory
- Evidence of continuous learning in AI, digital transformation, strategy, or data (certifications, courses, industry credentials)
- Experience in digital or technology strategy and transformation, with a strong track record of shaping digital or technology strategies and translating them into concrete, actionable plans (roadmaps, programmes, initiatives)
- Experience designing KPIs and value measures, and interpreting performance data to draw meaningful insights and recommendations
- Extensive working knowledge of enterprise AI (use cases, data/AI platforms, AI/GenAI techniques, AI/DA tools, AI policies, risks and governance)
- Strong business acumen and value orientation – Able to link AI initiatives to business value (revenue, productivity, customer, risk)
- Excellent structured and strategic communication skills
- Proven ability to influence and work with senior stakeholders across multiple business units, functions and countries, and navigate diverse priorities and constraints to reach aligned decisions
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; able to quickly understand new domains and issues.
- Intellectually flexible – can zoom between big-picture strategy and detailed execution and adjust approach as circumstances change.
