The role supports Singtel’s active ownership of its digital infrastructure investments, with a focus on driving portfolio performance, capital discipline and value creation across the STT GDC platform.
Working closely with the Head of Portfolio Performance & Management, the role will:
– Provide independent performance insight
– Support capital allocation decisions
– Strengthen governance oversight
– Help ensure Singtel behaves as a sophisticated minority investor
The role sits at the intersection of portfolio management, corporate finance and strategy execution, partnering closely with STT GDC management, Group Finance and internal stakeholders.
Make an Impact by
Portfolio Performance & Value Creation
– Develop and maintain a robust performance framework across the STT GDC portfolio, including key operating and financial KPIs.
– Analyse drivers of value creation (e.g. utilisation, pricing, capex efficiency, returns) and highlight risks and opportunities.
– Support quarterly and ad-hoc deep dives on asset performance versus investment thesis.
– Work with management teams to track and assess value creation initiatives.
– Provide independent insight on performance trends to senior leadership.
Capital Allocation & Financial Insight
– Support evaluation of major capex, expansion and strategic investment proposals.
– Assess impact of capital deployment on returns, leverage and portfolio positioning.
– Partner Finance to monitor ROIC, cash flow and capital efficiency metrics.
– Contribute to scenario and sensitivity analysis to support decision-making.
– Maintain familiarity with capital structure, funding and refinancing considerations.
Portfolio Strategy & Market Intelligence
– Support development of portfolio views across markets, capacity expansion and strategic priorities.
– Conduct targeted market and competitor analysis to inform capital allocation.
– Help assess build / buy / partner considerations where relevant.
– Monitor key industry trends in hyperscale demand, power availability and digital infrastructure.
Governance & Shareholder Oversight
– Support Singtel’s shareholder oversight across STT GDC entities and JVs.
– Prepare high-quality Board and Committee materials with clear performance insight.
– Track key shareholder matters and governance actions.
– Help ensure strong information flow and transparency to enable effective minority ownership.
– Partner Internal Audit and Finance on governance and control enhancements.
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Engagement
– Act as key interface between Singtel Group, STT GDC management and relevant stakeholders.
– Support alignment across Strategy, Finance and Business Units.
– Engage constructively with internal and external partners to advance portfolio priorities.
Skills for Success
- ~10–15 years of experience in infrastructure, private equity portfolio/value creation, corporate strategy, investment banking, or related fields.
- Prior exposure to asset performance, value creation, portfolio management or capital projects preferred.
- Experience in digital infrastructure, telecom, data centres or other capital-intensive sectors is advantageous.
- Familiarity with working in multi-stakeholder or JV environments is a plus.
Technical & Functional Capabilities
- Solid financial and commercial acumen, including understanding of returns, cash flow and capital efficiency.
- Ability to interpret operating and financial performance drivers.
- Comfort with investment evaluation and scenario analysis.
- Understanding of corporate governance and shareholder dynamics.
- Structured problem solving and strong analytical capability.
- Ability to synthesise complex information into clear executive insights.
- Commercially minded and intellectually curious.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
