The Pre-Sales Director is responsible for leading the pre-sales functionalities to provide expert technical guidance and support to sales teams and potential customers. This role involves understanding customer needs, developing and presenting solutions, and ensuring a seamless transition from prospecting to closing. The Pre-Sales Director will work closely with sales, product management, and engineering teams to drive the company’s business growth.

- Leadership and Management:
- Set strategic direction and objectives for the pre-sales function.
- Collaborate with sales leadership to align pre-sales strategies with overall sales goals.
- Customer Engagement:
- Work closely with prospective clients to understand their business requirements and technical needs.
- Develop and deliver compelling presentations, demonstrations, and proposals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Solution Development:
- Design and customize solutions to meet the specific needs of customers.
- Provide technical input and guidance during the proposal and bidding process.
- Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to address technical challenges and refine product offerings.
- Sales Support:
- Partner with the sales team to identify opportunities and develop account strategies.
- Assist in the qualification of leads and opportunities based on technical fit and business value.
- Provide training and support to sales teams on technical aspects of the products or services.
- Market and Product Insights:
- Stay current on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.
- Provide feedback to product management on customer needs and market demands.
- Contribute to the development of product roadmaps and marketing strategies.
- Performance Metrics:
- Track and report on pre-sales activities and performance metrics.
- Analyse and optimize the pre-sales process to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure that pre-sales engagements are aligned with revenue targets and business objectives.
Skills for Success
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Engineering, Technology) or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a pre-sales or technical sales role, with at least 10-15 years in a similar scope.
- Strong understanding of the GPU Cloud/ GPUaaS industry-specific technologies, products, or services.
- Ability to display strong technical skills, able to work collaboratively with sales, products, engineering, operations, customers and partners to put together compelling winning solutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex sales cycles and deliver technical solutions.
