The Associate will gain insight into and develop a practical understanding of Singtel’s corporate sustainability strategy, methodology, and initiatives. Additionally, the successful incumbent will participate in the planning, development, and execution of sustainability activities and events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support our dematerialization work on packaging by collecting data to ensure compliance to NEA Mandatory Packaging reporting and working with the Consumer Team on related initiatives.
- Lead and perform data collation, analysis, copyrighting and reporting for various environmental and sustainability reports, rating evaluation and assurance process.
- Support our decarbonization work by performing calculations on carbon emissions such as emissions due to use and disposal of our sold products, as well as data collection and calculations for Internal Carbon Pricing.
- Responsible for planning and organizing sustainability staff awareness activities such Tree Planting and Ewaste collection drive.
- Support in planning and organising events for staff environmental community volunteers.
- Manage and track events timelines and budgets.
- Craft communications and write articles for our internal portal to engage staff on our sustainability initiatives.
- Assist Group Sustainability Managers on the various ongoing sustainability programmes and projects.
- Engage and collaborate with business stakeholders to embed environmental processes within the business operations to ensure compliance to the Singtel Group Environment Strategy.
The ideal candidate should be/have:
- An Engineering or Science degree in the area of Environmental studies or related field with 1-2 years of sustainability experience
- Experience in the implementation and management of Environmental Management Systems/Environmental Sustainability Systems or other related systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Highly self-driven and pro-active with a keen interest for exploring innovative solutions
- Strong data analytical skills
- Project management skills such as ability to actively manage and balance task, cost and time
- Strong inter-personal and communication skills to engage diverse stakeholders
- Passionate about contributing to the environment
