Being a part of the compliance testing function, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of compliance domains / projects, in areas such as financial crime, regulatory compliance, data management and quality assurance.
 

How you succeed

To succeed in this role, you will a good understanding of the industry’s data governance and management best practices and work with stakeholders to enhance our data compliance processes, capabilities, and systems to ensure the Bank is leveraging data as an enterprise asset to support its strategic decision-making.

You will collaborate effectively across functions, teams, and countries to understand critical data aggregation and reporting processes, analyse end-to-end data flows, manage validation activities and diverse stakeholders.

What you do

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Perform validation on the Bank’s data aggregation and reporting capabilities, including scoping, process / data flow mapping, control design evaluation and control effectiveness testing. 

  • Maintain and update the repository of validation tests and ensure proper documentation of validation records and evidence.

  • Track outstanding issues and implementation of remediation plans.

  • Stay up to date with data governance and management best practices.

You will also join the collective effort toward continuous enhancement of our Data Validation methodology to ensure processes align with Bank’s data and reporting standards.

Who you are

  • A degree holder with 5 to 10 years working experience in a role within risk reporting (e.g. credit risk, market risk, liquidity risk), regulatory reporting (e.g. MAS 637, MAS 610), data management, or audit.

  • Experience in applying risk and control principles during reviews, with good data analytical skills for assessing complex data flows with attention to details and sound judgment.

  • A critical thinker with the ability to distil complex processes, identify areas for improvement and effective solutioning opportunities.

  • Knowledge of banking systems architecture, system / process change-management and end user tools.

  • Good inter-personal and communication skills to work collaboratively with multiple cross-functional stakeholders.
