How You Succeed

Global Market (GM) Data Analytics team builds capabilities and platforms for Business Analytics and Data Management. We are looking for a hands-on AVP Data Analytics Engineer with solid technical depth and experience in Global Markets or banking to deliver data solutions across the full analytics lifecycle, while also supporting production platforms and operations.

What You Do

  • Deliver end-to-end data solutions, from business requirements and data sourcing through to transformation, dashboard development, and production deployment/support

    • Engage business users to understand requirements and translate them into data solutions

    • Source, extract and integrate data from data lake and relevant systems; design and develop data models and databases

    • Perform data transformation, automation and processing using SQL, Python, VBA

    • Build dashboards and reports using BI tools such as Tableau, Qlik, and Power BI

  • Administer and support analytics and database platform infrastructure, including Databases, Transformation Server, Tableau Server, and Power BI environment.

    • Administration and server support, and environment configuration.

    • Monitor performance, storage, job execution, and system health.

    • Manage access control, backup, recovery, and ensure platform stability.

    • Optimize Tableau Server and Power BI performance.

    • Work with IT, infrastructure and support teams to maintain platform availability and operational resilience.

  • Support day-to-day production operations:

    • Oversee batch jobs, ETL workflows, and reporting schedules to ensure smooth, reliable execution.

    • Investigate and resolve production issues promptly with root cause analysis and preventive actions.

    • Drive process automation and operational efficiency improvements.

  • Design, develop, and maintain application solutions such as client-server web applications or desktop applications using Python or other relevant programming languages to support analytics workflows and business needs

  • Assist in the migration from Tableau to Power BI, driving Power BI report development and platform performance optimization

  • Contribute to advanced analytics initiatives by supporting predictive analytics, AI, and machine learning use cases where applicable

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or related quantitative/technical discipline.

  • 5–10 years of experience in data analytics / data engineering roles (banking preferred)

  • Proficient and good experience in SQL and database management (i.e. Oracle, IBM DB, MySQL, Teradata etc) and analytic tools (BI tools i.e. Tableau/Qlik/Power BI etc)

  • Proficient in Python programming for data transformation, automation, analytics, and application development (client-server web or desktop applications) – SQL, Python, R, Excel/VBA or other relevant programming languages

  • Experience in Global Markets or banking is preferred

  • Experience in Murex particularly in Murex database structure/UDM for Risk Exposure and P/L reporting is preferred

  • Experience in Teradata, InFluxDB, Hadoop, Spark, Apache HIVE, HUE is preferred

  • Knowledge of server/network/system management and task scheduling, including server setup, network protocols, system monitoring, and automation

  • Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively within the team

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate across diverse teams

  • Strong ownership mindset with ability to manage development tasks alongside day-to-day production support and operational responsibilities

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills combined with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
