As a member of the Business Analysts team supporting the Group Finance, you will be responsible for evaluating and developing solutions using the latest tools and technologies to address their challenges. A critical aspect of this role is a deep understanding of the underlying business processes, emerging regulatory requirements, and evolving technologies that impact the respective domain. Additionally, you will support projects by gathering and refining requirements and delivering detailed functional specifications.

Job Description

  • Act as a SME in the respective domains with sufficient knowledge to interact, solicit requirements, and advise senior-level business users

  • Work very closely with business users and project team members on solutioning/project initiation, implementation and post-implementation support

  • Lead solutioning effort and help develop compelling and innovative solutions while complying with existing standards, guidelines, and processes

  • Perform Business Analysis and lead the requirements gathering with business users, planning project timeline, budgeting and forecasting of the projects to prepare the business paper. 

  • Propose future proof solutions and articulate the ideas that balance between what’s technologically feasible and financially and functionally reasonable.

  • Be the bridge between business and technology team and play a consultant role to business user in resolving technical issues reported by business

  • Collaborate with IT teams to resolve issues. Work with Technology Architects, Data Modelers, Systems Analysts, and Source system support teams to produce high quality deliverables

  • Drive and clear solutioning process, documentation and obtain a signed off.

  • Develop functional specification and obtain a signed off.

  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process

  • Troubleshoot functional issues encountered during UAT

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of IT Business Analyst experience; Technology know-how is preferred

  • Extensive product and business analysis experience in domains such as financial and regulatory reporting, Audit.

  • Strong product and business analysis experience in domains such as financial and regulatory reporting.  

  • Experience with applications like Oracle Fusion, Axiom, OneSumX, CCH Tagetik, OFSAA will be an added advantage.

  • Deep understanding of emerging technology trends and market needs

  • Experience in Financial Services with a focus on digital transformation and innovation

  • Able to communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholders, internal and/or external

  • Able to lead, manage or influence others to achieve desired objectives &/or deliverables

  • Able to provide creative or alternative solutions to address business problems and achieve desired outcome

  • Team player, able to work independently

  • Strong ownership and accountability

  • Customer service focused, resourceful and result oriented and good follow through

  • Analytical skills
