JOB SUMMARY

  • Payments landscape in the Cash domain is undergoing a huge change and Standard Chartered Bank has a niche product SCPay which provides optimum payment solutions to our clients.
  • The individual selected for this role will have a deep understanding of the payments domain and provide their expertise and experience in furthering the development of the product.
  • In particular, their role will be as Business solutions – Accelerator Governance and execution.
  • We have built a product template and accelerator approach to implement SCPAY in an accelerated manner. This will standardize features and ensure that product behaves in the same way in all countries. This role needs to ensure that the implementation adheres to the plans outlined and if there are other opportunities to standardize another feature functionality. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy

  • Understanding and comply with Group standard policies and guidelines to ensure no breach of the global and bank standards 

Business

  • To understand Cash business and work towards achieving the goals of Cash Management and T&I objectives 

Processes

  • Adhere to the standard Technology and governance process
  • Ensure all projects are delivered in Agile methodology
  • Contribute in functional verification / testing to ensure business requirements are met 
  • Be part of the team by closely working with Engineering Lead and squad members to deliver quality end-to-end solution, including reviewing of other interface functional specifications and external parties’ specifications.
  • Author and deliver user stories 

  • Collaborate with entire team as part of the Agile squad to deliver comprehensive changes to our internal/external business
  • Build strong relationship / rapport with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders
  • Perform impact assessment on existing processes/functions based on new requirements
  • Work with the technical teams for overall solution in line with group policies and procedures
  • Work with the product owners to groom and prepare User stories and acceptance criteria
  • Contribute in technical initiatives & play a techno functional SME

People & Talent 

  • Play a techno functional Engineering Analyst role
  • Be an active and contributing team player in the agile squads and larger team
  • Participate in the people engagement activities of the unit and organization
  • Develop yourself to new technologies that comes up in the market and keep yourself updated
  • Build strong relationship / rapport with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders

Risk Management

  • Foresee any risk that might arise in the project and escalate proactively.
  • Every solution proposed must be in line with organization guideline such that no risk arises for the unit / clients / organization.

Governance 

  • Must ensure absolute adherence to the organization and group policies
  • Adhere to the technology and bank governance process in every project is handled

Regulatory & Business Conduct 

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct. 
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank.   • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • 8 years of experience in global payments system
  • Experience in business solutions with strong technology background
  • BE / MCA / MSC in Computer Science     
  • Certification from Scrum, AWS preferred
