As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will design and implement security measures to protect the organization’s information systems. You will be responsible for identifying vulnerabilities and developing strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of the company’s data.

  • Design and implement security architectures aligned with organizational goals.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and develop risk mitigation plans.
  • Lead incident response activities for detecting and recovering from cyberattacks.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments and recommend solutions for security gaps.
  • Manage and secure network traffic using firewalls, IDS/IPS, and other security tools.
  • Monitor network for suspicious activities and anomalies.
  • Ensure compliance with industry security standards and regulations.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Conduct security awareness training for employees.
  • Collaborate with IT, legal, and compliance teams to maintain security posture.
  • Assist in internal and external security audits and remediation efforts.
  • Maintain documentation of security incidents and changes to the security environment.

Skills for Success

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or a related IT role.
  • Proficiency in security technologies such as firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and encryption.
  • Experience with network security tools and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, SSL/TLS, VPN, etc.).
  • Knowledge of operating systems security (Windows, Linux, macOS).
  • Experience with vulnerability management tools and penetration testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with cloud security, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Understanding of compliance frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR).
