We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in data engineering, with expertise in SQL, Unix/shell scripting, Python, and cloud data platforms. This role requires a proactive individual who can collaborate effectively within a team and contribute to building scalable, efficient data pipelines and solutions. Fresh graduates with less than 3 years’ experience .
Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes to support analytics and business intelligence needs.

Write efficient, optimized SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading.

Develop and maintain Unix/shell scripts to automate data workflows and system tasks.

Utilize Python for data engineering tasks including data ingestion, transformation, and integration.

Implement and manage cloud-based data engineering solutions on platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Microsoft Azure.

Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver scalable solutions.

Monitor data quality, troubleshoot data issues, and optimize data workflows for performance and reliability.

Apply basic web design and web technologies knowledge to support data visualization and dashboard integration where applicable.

Stay updated with emerging data engineering trends, tools, and best practices.
Required Technical Skills:

Strong experience in data engineering concepts and best practices.

Proficient in SQL for complex querying and data manipulation.

Solid experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting.

Proficient in Python programming with a focus on data engineering libraries and frameworks.

Basic understanding of web design and web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript basics).

Experience with cloud data engineering platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.

Familiarity with data storage solutions (e.g., relational databases, data lakes, data warehouses).

Preferred Qualifications (Added advantage):

Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git).
