A career in our Merger and Acquisition Tax practice, within Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients meet and manage their tax obligations across unique but ever changing tax specialties. You’ll advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing indirect taxes, dispute resolution, and global enterprise tax solutions.
Our team helps our clients with various aspects of a merger and acquisition transactions such as restructuring, divestiture, partnerships and insolvency. You’ll focus on helping clients establish treasury goals, analyse and quantify tax assets, assess tax risks, and model taxable income and cash flow impacts
How will you value-add?

Under the management’s guidance, participate and undertake tax due diligence and structuring engagements.

Analyse proposed M&A transactions for tax risks or benefits, advise clients on tax-efficient restructurings, interpret complex legislative and regulatory actions relating to corporate transactions, perform financial analysis to assess the tax consequences of specific transactions, and prepare for client review submission requests for advance ruling and technical advice.

Project management and liaise with colleagues from different areas of the Tax Services group, PwC Singapore, and network firms to assist in the M&A projects.

Work with managers on non M&A projects that would involve international tax planning, business restructuring and transfer pricing work, as and when required.

Assist in developing and maintaining strong relationships with appropriate client contacts and help to respond to their business needs.

Develop and maintain a strong network of contacts within PwC Singapore and the PwC global network of firms.
About you

Recognised Degree in any discipline and/or relevant Post Graduate/Professional.

Qualification in Accounting, Tax, Business, Economics or Law.

An SCTP accreditation would be an added advantage.

8 – 10 years of relevant experience in M&A tax / international tax.

Strong in written and verbal English.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.

Highly motivated, meticulous and a good team player.

Able to work under tight deadlines.
