Our Deals Advisory Practice helps businesses realise the potential of their mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, and capital markets with a global network of industry experts coupled with data-driven insights. About the Team: 
Our Strategy& Deals team aims to bring top-tier strategy capabilities across a broad range of engagements, focusing on value creation for clients. While our roots are in M&A, we provide holistic strategic support covering four core areas: 

  • Corporate Strategy and Value Creation (business planning, value creation plans, operational restructuring) 

  • Market Entry and Growth Strategy (supporting corporates expanding in or from Southeast Asia) 

  • Commercial Due Diligence and M&A Strategy (collaborating closely with Deals practice, emphasizing value creation pre- and post-deal) 

  • Government Strategy and Feasibility Studies (longer-term strategic studies addressing forward-looking challenges) 

We work across diverse sectors, including Healthcare, Education, Financial Services, Retail & Consumer, Technology, Media & Telecom, etc  

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead and manage workstreams end-to-end in commercial due diligence and strategy projects, covering market and competitive analysis, growth strategy, financial and operational performance analysis, and business case development. 

  • Able to confidently manage and coach small teams of associates and senior associates. 

  • Engage directly with senior clients and private equity investors with minimal supervision. 

  • Build and nurture client relationships with guidance from partners and senior team leadership. 

Qualifications: 

  • 2-3 years of experience at the Manager level (or equivalent). 

  • Proven experience in strategy consulting or Deals/due diligence practices, with strong exposure to private equity and transaction-related work (commercial and market due diligence, portfolio value creation). 

  • Significant experience and/or residency in Southeast Asia or broader APAC markets, with a strong understanding of local business environments and market dynamics. 

  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken, capable of leading client discussions and producing client-ready deliverables. 

  • Project experience in multiple sectors including Financial Services (banking, payments, insurance, fintech), Healthcare (providers, pharma, medtech), Education (K-12, higher education, edtech), Technology (software, IT services, digital platforms), and Consumer & Retail. 

  • Strong problem-solving, structured thinking, and quantitative analysis skills. 

  • Demonstrated ability to handle deal-focused projects and workstreams with majority of experience in due diligence and private equity environments. 

  • Willingness and ability to relocate within SEA/APAC if required, or already based in the region. 

Preferred Background: 

  • Experience at Big 4 firms in Strategy, Deals, or Due Diligence practices. 

  • Background in Top-tier strategy consulting firms (e.g. MBB or Tier 2s – e.g. Roland Berger, Oliver Wyman, Kearney, LEK). 

  • Experience at reputable private equity or investment advisory boutiques.
