Job Description & Summary
Job Description Summary
We believe that challenges are better solved together. That’s why you’ll join a diverse, global community of solvers – an unexpected mix of people that come together to build trust in society and solve important problems. With us, you are encouraged to lead with your heart and values, and where your unique skills are developed and put to work in unexpected and exciting ways, superpowered by technology.
Our Deals Advisory Practice helps businesses realise the potential of their mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, and capital markets with a global network of industry experts coupled with data-driven insights. As the largest in Singapore, we provide faster growth, stronger capabilities, a competitive edge across the entire deal continuum, from strategy formulation, deal origination, transaction support and finance raising, to post deal integration and exit.
Our aim is to bring top-tier Strategy capabilities together, working across the full range of Strategy engagements, and being at the forefront of Value Creation for our clients. Whilst the origin of our team is in M&A, it is now only one pillar of the holistic strategic support we provide our clients. In summary, our team focuses on four core areas:
-
Corporate strategy (e.g. business planning, value creation plans, restructuring etc.)
-
Market entry/growth strategy (e.g. US, European and Japanese corporates looking to enter SE Asia, or Singaporean businesses looking to expand out)
-
Commercial due diligence and M&A strategy (directly working with our broader Deals practice, with a strong focus on Value Creation, pre and post deal)
-
Government strategy (typically longer term strategic studies, understanding how different countries tackle forward looking problems)
Our team operates across a broad range of sectors – with particular areas of strength including TMT, Healthcare, Education, Retail/Consumer and Financial Services.
The individuals we are looking to join this team, should ideally have the following:
-
6 – 10 years of top tier strategy consulting experience.
-
Exposure to Deals (i.e. running commercial due diligence exercises with PE houses / SWFs)
-
Asia experience or links to the region.
In return what we look to bring to those who join us:
-
Working hand-in-hand with a strong and fast-growing team of strategy professionals, amidst an environment of camaraderie and entrepreneurial growth.
-
Being part of the global PwC Strategy& Deals network, offering a great opportunity to develop, and being part of a wider top-tier global team.
-
Fast-paced environment, with the nature of our projects often being shorter in length, high intensity, and involve dealing with senior-level clients. We tend to do less long-term, operational-type projects based at the client site, away from home.
-
An exceptional mix of experiences and opportunities spanning corporate strategy, the deals market and Asia wide exciting projects.
-
Huge opportunities for accelerated personal and professional growth, and a long term (global) career at PwC.
