This internship provides students with hands-on exposure to Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Conversational Design through real-world projects. Interns will support the design of AI-powered retail concierge conversations that interact with customers via chat or digital assistants.

 

Interns will also gain practical experience in AI project planning and delivery, working in teams to complete assigned tasks within project timelines under supervision. This internship is suitable for students interested in AI, UX design, digital products, communications, or technology projects.

 

By the end of the internship, students will:

•           Understand how Digitalisation and AI chatbots in retail are designed and deployed

•           Learn the basics of conversational design and AI prompt writing

•           Gain experience in planning and delivering AI projects within timelines

•           Develop communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills

•           Apply customer-centric and responsible AI principles in real projects

 

Make an Impact by

 

Conversational Design Support

  • Assist in designing conversations between AI retail concierges and customers
  • Create sample dialogues for retail scenarios (e.g. product enquiries, promotions, FAQs)
  • Support conversation scripting, intent mapping, and basic dialogue logic for customer interactions
  • Help define tone and response style of AI assistants
  • Support testing and refinement of AI conversations

 

AI Project & Timeline Support

  • Support multiple AI projects under guidance
  • Assist in planning simple project timelines and milestones
  • Track assigned tasks, deliverables and completed within agreed timelines

 

Collaboration & Learning

  • Work with designers, AI engineers, and business teams
  • Participate in project reviews, testing sessions, and demos
  • Learn industry best practices in AI and digital

 

 

Skills for Success

  • Undergraduate from Information Technology / Computer Science, UX / Digital Design / Multimedia, Business / Digital Innovation and any related disciplines with interest in AI.
  • Commit 6 months duration
  • Basic understanding of AI conversational concepts (e.g., chatbots, intents, conversational flows)
  • Strong interest in AI, digital innovation, chatbots, or digital experiences
  • Understanding of retail customer journeys, including pre-purchase, purchase, and post-purchase
  • Organised, responsible, and willing to learn
  • Ability to work in a team and meet deadlines
