Overview
Our Digital Tax team comprises both Tax and Technology subject matter experts, working in tandem to transform and automate business processes across areas such as corporate income tax, transfer pricing, and goods and services tax. Using a combination of off-the-shelf applications and bespoke products, we provide effective digital solutions to ease the burden of manual processes so that efforts can instead be channelled into navigating the modern-day Tax landscape.
We partner with clients and internal stakeholders across various industries to understand their business landscape and needs, adopting a data-driven approach in driving value creation. By combining our industry expertise and technology-powered solutions, we are able to harness the power of information to optimise business performance and commercialise data opportunities.

A career in our Digital Tax Unit will provide you with the opportunity to work on Tax technology strategy and solutions. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Partnering with internal stakeholders and/or clients to enable them to understand the value in their data through analytics and visualization.

Develop prototypes to solve variety of business problems and work with stakeholders to bring prototypes to live.

Develop predictive modelling, statistics, data mining and other data analysis techniques to collect, explore and extract insights from data.

Mine and analyse data from data sources to develop new products offering or drive optimisation and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies.

Develop, utilise and maintain predictive/LLM models to identify targeted business outcome, measure business risk, and optimize user experiences.

Use data and models to drive the development of risk mitigation strategies and interventions for clients while preserving and improving the user experience.

Manage end to end projects – clarify requirements and devise research approaches.

Develop Go-to-Market strategies, opportunities and lead client engagements.

Stay on top of current business and industry trends.
About you
-
Degree in a Quantitative field (Data Science, Computer Science, Applied Statistics, Mathematics, etc.) with at least 4 – 6 years of working experience. Candidate with master’s degree will be preferred.

Experience in visualising/presenting data for stakeholders

Adequate experience working in a role within a financial / professional services firm or function in a development team

Displaying thorough written/verbal communication skills and ability to present and convey complex ideas to client & internal staff

Good to have experience with Go-to-market and client management

Familiar with building environments on cloud (Azure/Fabric, AWS, GCP)

Familiar with Microsoft applications (PowerBI, PowerAutomate, Copilot)

Familiar with modern web development stacks like MERN (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js) and experience with building web applications, integrating APIs, SDLC (DevOps, Agile)

Basic design ability and prototyping – Knowledge of UI/UX and prototype design

Experience in Unit/Integration testing

Proficient in the use of machine learning, deep learning, LLMs. Familiar with data mining, algorithms, optimizations.

Experience with ML libraries (Hugging Face Transformers, LangChain, LlamaIndex)

Must have strong proficiency in Python

Good to have experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and MLOps tools
