The Telco Cloud and DevOps Architect is responsible for developing the Telco Cloud and DevOps Strategy and Architecture. The architect shall evangelize the adoption of Cloud technologies to drive digital transformation, enable innovation and engineering management in Telco Networks, and have an appreciation of software delivery lifecycles. The strategy includes running the Telco Cloud Centre of Excellence consisting of developing the cloud journey, onboarding practices, migration strategies, policies, standards, and governance development across the Telco Cloud (public and on-premise Cloud infrastructure). There is an opportunity to mobilize and orchestrate with officers across the different engineering units within Singtel and its Associates. This includes working with CTOs and CIOs across the various business units to onboard Telco systems onto the Telco Cloud.

 

Make an impact by:

 

  • Driving digital transformation in the Telco Cloud adoption programme, enabling change in capability, culture, and competence. Operate an agile, resilient, and secure cloud environment to continuously deliver new applications. Develop ecosystems locally and globally to broaden supplies, level the playing field, and encourage cloud innovation for Group Technology and Networks
  • Manage the Telco Cloud Product engineering teams through continuous monitoring and operation excellence—product Management for enterprise services offering and enterprise products in a DevOps environment, test automation, and collaboration.
  • We are maximizing the utilization of scarce manpower resources through effective recruitment, retention, and motivation. 
  • Team development and management. Guide and Coach the team by managing morale, performance, learning, and building capabilities.

 

Skills and knowledge for success:

 

  • Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or relevant disciplines
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience including a minimum of 5 years in an Enterprise Architect role
  • Expertise in Software development, system integration, cloud and cyber security
  • Experience in product management and business process transformation
  • Experience in API management, implementation, and governance
  • Experience in engineering management
  • Experience in DevOps practices
  • Knowledge of Telecommunications systems is preferred
  • Communication and influence with stakeholders for necessary approval and buy-in by providing strong and clear justification for proposed changes
