Join OCBC’s Institutional Equities Distribution team as a Senior Institutional Equity Sales professional. In this role, you will manage and grow relationships with a diverse range of institutional clients including sovereign wealth funds, hedge funds, family offices, private banks, and corporates across Asia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage institutional equity client accounts, delivering high-touch service with daily market updates, trade ideas, and research insights.
- Lead equities product distribution in partnership with Sales Trading, Research, and Equity Capital Markets (ECM).
- Actively pitch and distribute ECM deals such as IPOs, equity placements, rights offerings, and preferential offerings.
- Source and execute block trade opportunities and expand client access to OCBC’s equity products, including derivatives, stock lending, and trading platforms.
- Drive revenue growth through trading commissions and ECM brokerage fees.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including Global Markets, Investment Banking, Research, Operations, Legal, and Compliance to onboard new clients and enhance the equities franchise.
- Participate in analyst marketing, corporate roadshows, and regular team investment calls.
- Identify and address business model gaps by working cross-functionally to implement strategic improvements.
Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience managing institutional equity clients across Asia.
- Strong existing institutional equity client relationships.
- Strong knowledge of equity products, ECM transactions, and capital markets.
- Excellent relationship management, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to generate revenue and build a sustainable client base.
- Familiarity with regulatory and operational aspects of institutional equity sales.
