We are seeking a dynamic, positive and proactive IT Project Manager to oversee the successful execution of IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. The IT Project Manager will collaborate with various stakeholders and coordinate resource allocation across divisions to achieve project objectives.

What you do

  • Manage the technology setup for renovation.
  • Liaising with stakeholders such as project personnel, vendors, and end-users regarding the project requirements.
  • Support the business team on budget planning that is related to technology cost and translate business requirements to technical requirements / specifications.
  • Coordinate with business team to support their IT requirements.
  • Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility, scalability and adherence to policy and project governance (enterprise architecture, IT security, etc).
  • Develop a detailed project plan and timeline to track progress.
  • Develop deep understanding on business functions and applications.
  • Progress and incident reporting to management in a timely manner.
  • Manage the relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Manage and identify potential risk and recommend mitigation controls.
  • Manage third parties/vendors in accordance with the vendor management policies and guidelines.
  • Establish and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Outlining, defining, and initiating the project.
  • Implementing document control policies and documentation templates.
  • Maintaining a good working knowledge of assigned component projects.
  • Monitoring project progress and implementing changes where necessary.
  • Perform budget projection/monitoring and procurement for projects.
  • Monitoring expenditures in accordance with the budget.
  • Ensuring compliance with objectives, organizational policies, procedures, and standards; Ensuring project complies with best practices, SOPs, PMO policies, and other policies.
  • Compiling project reports, and informing the management regarding problems and risks.
  • Standardize process, budget, and IT asset management (device, license control, end of life management).
  • Suggest the process improvement areas and aim for continuous improvement and collaboration efficiency.
  • Co-ordination of testing, process change, training, and user communications.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.

 

Qualifications

 

Who you are

  • Background in Computer Science or related a related IT discipline.
  • CAPM/PMP/CITM/CSM/PRINCE II or relevant certification preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a project management role in IT sector.
  • Qualifications / certifications relating to infrastructure technology is an advantage.
  • Expertise in infrastructure (network, digital workplace) and security fundamentals.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills to engage both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Able to work independently; proactive and resourceful.
  • Excellent project management and interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly articulate business needs/project issues, as well as, tactfully negotiate on project scope and timelines.
  • Proven multi-tasking skills with the ability to work independently and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Innovative problem solving, design and testing skills with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude.
  • Strong “problem resolution” mindset, constantly drive new ideas and challenge the status quo with constructive approach.
  • Possess strong financial/business acumen and ability to directly correlate project tasks, associated estimates, actuals and overall project budget forecasting and maintenance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
