Make an Impact by:
- Lead a team to manage and oversee operational processes to support DWDM and voice operations.
- To lead in troubleshooting and root cause analysis during incident, and manage incidents, service status and escalations, and coordinate updates and communications with management and users.
- Manage contracts and relationships with third-party vendors, from selection and RFP to contracting.
- Support, implement, troubleshoot and manage on-prem and virtualised IT infrastructure for DWDM, voice operations and mobile servers to ensure stability, cyber-security and performance.
- Strong communication skills across many teams and cultures as well as reporting to various government regulatory departments.
- Provide and demonstrate expert IT support for our end users, in-office or remotely
- Train engineers/users on new processes, solutions and IT policies.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Skills for Success:
- Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical & Electronic and Mechanical Engineering
- Min 5+ years operations support experience and 3+ years working in a IT support lead or IT engineering role
- Strong understanding of IT integration, cybersecurity and deployment
- The candidate must have good knowledge on telecommunications engineering and the working concepts of the transmission systems.
- Experience and knowledge in transmission equipment will be an added advantage, such as SDH, DWDM, GPON, MSAN, MD/ONU/, SIP IAD, CE).
- The candidate must have an analytical mind, fast response and dedication to resolving problems.
- The candidate must be able to demonstrate good interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to work as a team.
- Able to work during non-office hours on an occasional basis and be on 24 x 7 hours standby alert for ad-hoc faults.
