How you succeed
To succeed in this role, you’ll need to stay ahead of the curve in terms of technology trends and advancements. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and develop architecture solutions that meet their requirements. You’ll also need to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and implementation of technology solutions.

What you do

  • Lead the definition and enforcement of enterprise architecture governance across infrastructure, cloud, and cybersecurity domains, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals and regulatory requirements.

  • Formulate Technology strategy, Architecture guiding principles and Technology roadmap from the business strategy and key processes and documents how the current and future bank’s needs will be met in an efficient and effective manner

  • Recommend future technology capabilities and Architecture design (for one of more domains), considering the Technology strategy, BU’s objectives, organization’s constraints, technology trends, and regulatory requirements

  • Analyze gaps between as-is and target Architecture and propose to stakeholders on how gaps and stakeholders’ concerns can be addressed

  • Analyze impacts of major regulations to the overall bank, including but not limited to provide: gap analysis, roadmap to close the gaps, high-level cost estimate

  • Work with stakeholders and subject matter experts to build a holistic map or view of the organization’s strategy, processes, information, and information technology assets

  • Develop Architecture standards/guidelines/policies based on the bank’s needs, regulatory requirements and anticipated technology advances to guide Solutioning and project teams

  • Lead key enterprise architectural design reviews/solutions/projects for the domain

  • Work closely with Solutioning, Cloud Infrastructure, and Project teams to understand their needs and ensure the best Enterprise Architecture standard is implemented

  • Perform benchmarking on selected Technology areas, as necessary

  • Govern and maintain bank wide architectural standards related to the domain

  • Define Group Enterprise strategies to achieve (but not limited to) the following:

    1.Cost synergy;

    2.Enhanced risk management;

    3.Customer service excellence;

    4.Business competitive advantage

  • Drive the implementation approach to align with Group Technology Architecture and cascade the endorsed implementation direction across functions and country

  • Identify and propose key initiatives that have material impact to the Group, engage and obtain endorsements from key stakeholders.

Who you are

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Sc. or Computer Eng. or above in related IT discipline

  • Strong System Architecture and/or system integration hands-on-knowledge

  • Additional business degree would be an advantage

  • Recognized industry’s certification (e.g. CISSP, TOGAF, CISA) related to functional area is a plus

  • Extensive work experience in Enterprise Architectural work, e.g. leading > 10 successful major implementations, 10+ years. Enterprise Architectural works cut across technical (e.g. systems integration) and IT governance/management areas (e.g. technology strategy creation, management)

  • Experience in utilizing emerging technologies to design and implement security solutions; monitoring and improving those solutions while working with an information security team

  • Consulting and engineering in the design and development of cloud and infrastructure best practices; implementation of measures to meet business goals, customer needs and regulatory requirements

  • Strong background in Cloud and infrastructure architecture design and familiar with topics related to cloud computing, network and infrastructure, data security.

  • Familiar with industry best practices and technology trends on cloud and infrastructure and business trends in financial industry across China and region

  • A good team player and able to work effectively at all levels of an organization across country and region with the ability to influence others to move towards consensus

  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin, highly organized and able to interact professionally and appropriately at all levels of the organization
