    Executive Director, Sustainability solution, GWB Sustainability Office

    About the role: 

    As a part of our commitment to become the Asia’s leading banking partners for a sustainable future, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to lead our sustainable and transition engagement efforts for our corporate and institutional clients within the Global Wholesale Banking Division. As the Team head – corporate client transition lead, you will develop client transition strategy and engagement model, while driving the banks’ sustainable/transition financing efforts for all sectors excluding Real estate.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Engagement strategy: Develop and roll out sector specific Transition / sustainability engagement strategy tailored to OCBC Bank’s GWB clients, directly contributing to the Bank’s sustainable financing and Net Zero targets.
    • Transition / Sustainable Financing Solutions: Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to create innovative and practical sustainable/transition banking solutions that meet the specific requirements of our clients in key markets.
    • Thought leadership and expertise: Stay updated on sustainability trends and regulations, translating insights into business development and partnership opportunities for the bank. Represent the bank in conferences and round tables, and other industry events, showcasing our leadership and expertise in sustainable finance.
    • Leadership and coaching: Lead a team of sustainable finance specialists by coaching and motivating them to effectively drive sustainability engagement for GWB clients while maintaining the integrity of the markets and the bank.

     

    Qualifications

     

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in sustainability, business, finance or a related field.
    • Proven experience in a managerial role within a banking or financial services environment, with a focus on business development and client engagement.
    • Good understanding of regional sustainability dynamics, including trends, regulations, and cultural nuances.
    • In-depth understanding of how sustainability /transition drives shape the industries and the markets and how corporates are transitioning.
    • Innovative mindset with an ability to navigate uncertain and evolving landscape with clear prioritization and clear communications.
    • Collaborative team player, good stakeholder and conflict management.
    • Effective project management skills, including the ability to oversee multiple initiatives concurrently.
