JOB SUMMARY

  • We are seeking an experience and detail-oriented subject matter expert to oversee the full lifecycle of external data subscriptions, ensuring efficient management, cost optimization, and process improvements. This role will be responsible for streamlining the front-to-back workflow, building a centralised database, and evaluating savings, leverage opportunities and efficiency gains. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for monthly business reporting and strategic planning, provide key insights to senior management.
  • The ideal candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders, vendors, and procurement teams to optimise data usage, reduce costs, and enhance decision-making processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy

  • Oversee the entire life cycle of external data subscriptions, from procurement, contract negotiation, usage tracking, and renewal evaluations

Processes

  • Centralise and standardise the subscription to ensure transparency and efficiency.

Risk Management

  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with key vendors to ensure service quality and pricing optimization.

Governance

  • Monthly Business Reporting & Strategic Planning
  • Develop forecasting models to plan and optimise future data subscriptions.

  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • 5 years of experience in commercial negotiation and the necessary experience dealing with market data vendors
  • Technical Expertise in Data Integration – Proficient in managing APIs to streamline external data ingestion and processing
  • Strong Governance & Compliance Knowledge – Deep understanding of data privacy law and security best practice to ensure vendor data meets regulatory and quality standards
  • Vendor & Stakeholder Management Skills – Experience in evaluating third-party data providers, negotiating SLAs, and collaborating with internal teams to maximize data value for business insights.
