We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Collections Team member in supporting the AR Manager in overseeing the end-to-end collection process and contributing in the transformation of the function for efficiency and effectiveness within our firm. The ideal candidate shall have experience in overseeing the collection activities and managing projects focusing on continuous improvement i.e. automation and digitalisation of collection processes.

How will you value-add? 

 

Debt Chasing & Collections Transformation: 

  • Support the collection function and resolving related queries and discrepancies 

  • Assist with month-end closing activities for the collection function 

  • Prepare the aged debt & provision reports 

  • Prepare and manage Accounts Receivable write-off entries and reports 

  • Participate actively in streamlining AR reporting process and systems enhancements 

  • Coordinate and liaise with internal parties to support intercompany activities 

  • Ensure payments are allocated to accounts and identify any unallocated payments 

  • Monitor progress of bank clearing, unapplied and unidentified cash and AR suspense accounts 

  • Support AR Manager in executing AR and credit management functions 

  • Participate in ad-hoc projects as assigned 

 

 

 

 

Process Review and Enhancement: 

  • Continuously review Collection processes to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies. 

  • Experience in digitalisation and automation projects. Identify automation & process streamlining opportunities and collaborate with cross-functional teams on system implementation, enhancement and user acceptance testing 

  • Work closely and follow up with IT for requirements/ issues arising from system  

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Finance, Business or Accounting 

  • Proven experience in Collections with a focus on process transformation & optimization. 

  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar capacity 

  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels. 

  • Agile and able to think out of box for creative solutions for process improvements. 

  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Power BI
