About the Team

PwC’s Consulting practice provides business and technology advice to leading organisations to help solve their most complex business challenges from strategy to execution.

The Financial Services Strategy & Operations team enables organisations in the Financial Services industry (banks, asset managers, insurers, etc) to design and execute strategies to grow, become more productive, modernise their organisation, and position themselves for the future. We support this through a range of services focused on growth, productivity, ways of working, and digital transformation. 

About the Role

As a Manager, you will lead on-the-grounds delivery of engagements whilst helping to build the broader FS S&O practice. 

From a delivery perspective, you will lead client interactions and delivery of work alongside leaders and junior teammates. You will have responsibility for execution of client delivery through identifying client needs, approaches to problems, defining work plans, and management of work. Working with your leaders, you will help to activate the best of the PwC network to ensure that we are leveraging our capabilities whilst bringing your perspective. As a Manager, you will be a role model for our junior team members, both in terms of development of core competencies and unlocking leadership potential.

From a practice development perspective, you will help to build and sharpen our offerings to clients. You will contribute to thought leadership, encompassing both generation of external publications and internal innovation of our client offerings. Using your business acumen and your experience in Financial Services, you will have your client’s futures in mind by pre-empting their problems and showing them how we can help.

About you

You are likely to be a Financial Services professional with the following key attributes:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in business, economics, finance, engineering or a related field. MBA or CFA is a plus.

  • Prior consulting or direct experience with the Financial Services industry (Banking, Asset & Wealth management, Insurance, Fintechs)

  • Atleast 6 – 8 years of relevant experience in Consulting or equivalent Strategy, Transformation, Digitisation, Operations roles

  • Demonstrated experience in delivery leadership, people management, and driving team outcomes

  • Expert problem-solving and analytical skills (both quantitative and qualitative orientations) 

  • Ability to communicate complex concepts simply to a broad audience, with track record of senior executive level engagement

  • Experience in the Financial Services industry (banking, insurance, or otherwise) and solid functional knowledge in business (sales, marketing, operations, IT, etc)

  • Strong personal presence, combined with compelling and professional presentation and communication skills

  • Agile, Scrum, PMP, Lean / Six-Sigma or equivalent certifications will be advantageous
