JOB SUMMARY
- Wealth and Retail Banking (WRB) aims to become the leading Cross-Border Affluent Bank and Wealth Manager, through strengthening our Affluent continuum, unlock network value via International Banking, accelerate Private Banking growth, and future proof our business with strong focus on risk, talent, underpinned by scalable digital platform and operational capabilities.
- WRB business will invest to expand our wealth solutions and upgrade advisory capabilities, tailor our international propositions, enhance our frontline enablers to support our growth in relationship managers, and strengthen our support functions in line with our growth aspirations.
- The Global Head, Change Delivery & Enablement, WRB will support the Global Head of Digital, in partnership with key WRB business stakeholders, COO and CIO to lead an integrated approach that enables and continuously optimise delivery of WRB investment agenda, ensuring that we maximise return on investment with clear traceability to business outcomes, drive transparency on investment allocation and associated capacity, and execution certainty. This will require improving our business agility of One Delivery team to be quick to adapt in volatile, uncertain, complex, ambiguous (VUCA) environment, and respond rapidly and flexibly to client needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy
- Play a key role in establishing annual investment agenda, budgeting process and capacity planning for circa annual budget of $400M, and delivery capacity of ~4000
- Be the challenger and drive WRB investment agenda to be client-centric and risk aware, reflective of our balanced scorecard that ultimately increases shareholder value
- Optimise shape of investment that balances between supporting growth, regulatory compliance, risk remediation (in line with our risk appetite), and operational efficiency
- Partner with One Delivery leadership to develop and execute business aligned investment agenda across WRB in consultation with WRB Management Team, COO, CIO, and key functional partners (Risk, Compliance, Finance)
Business
- Establish Change Delivery ‘single source of truth’ system for Outcome, Demand and Supply
- Work with One Delivery leadership and Transformation team to develop, define and track consistent delivery metrics, aligned with internal and external benchmarks
- Partner with Transformation team and One Delivery leadership to define and embed clear Roles and Responsibilities for critical roles such as outcome owners, domain/sub-domain leads (both business and technology), product owners, engineering lead, test lead, chapter lead, etc
- Data-driven performance management monitoring and cadence leveraging single source of truth system for Change Delivery
- Define and maintain a consistent set of methodologies for initiative impact valuation and tracking that resonate with WRB Management Team and wider senior leaders
- Partner with group transformation team and One Delivery leadership team in design and implementation of ways of working, uplift operational and people capabilities and drive efficiencies
- Drive adoption of continuous improvement and agile best practices, mindsets and capabilities across One Delivery team, and group/country stakeholders
- Work with One Delivery leadership to translate long-term vision and digital innovation roadmap into either distinct programmes or iterative agile deliverables
- Champion leadership and cultural behaviour of what good looks like in Change Delivery
- Establish regular cadence that facilitate constructive debate and discussion on what good looks like for e2e delivery community (business, technology, operations)
- Continuously strive for optimal empowerment with appropriate accountability, streamline decision making/prioritisation process
Processes
- Evolve budget-led to capacity-led planning process, drive robust prioritisation discussion keeping in mind intended key outcomes and capacity constraint (if any)
- Refine and embed discipline in backlog management best practice with clear entry/exit criteria across backlog lifecycle
- Ensure appropriate planning, governance and controls are in place and deliver benefits from investments per commitment (Corporate Plan, Scorecard, Regulations, Risk Treatment Plans, Audit) via strong collaboration with the broader WRB business as well as COO, CIO and functions
- Proactively propose and design control improvements, enhancements, and simplifications where appropriate
- Proactively monitor change deliverables’ artefacts and deliverables for quality and completeness, including auditable approval trails
- Partner with WRB portfolio financial management meets its annual budget via thorough review, control and report on financial status as per the bank’s standards
- Monitor programme benefits and ensure benefits management plans are implemented effectively with clear ownership and metrics of success
- Advocate and lead by example best practices across all change deliverables within WRB investment portfolio and heighten quality of delivery
People & Talent
- Lead and support a change in mindset, building a culture of client centricity, agility, and accountability through standardised metrics and measurement, ensuring everyone are drivers and owners of client outcomes.
- Set effective metrics and standards, transparently communicating them to team members, providing feedback and rewarding employees accordingly. Set the appropriate tone and expectations for the wider team.
- Employ, engage, and retain high quality people, with succession planning for critical roles.
- Ensure team structure/capacity is regularly reviewed to enable delivery of client outcomes.
- Ensure the provision of on-going training & development, ensure that direct reports are suitably skilled and qualified for their roles and that they have effective supervision in place to mitigate any risk.
Risk Management
- Identify weaknesses across the end-to-end process risk and control environment and monitor rectification as required.
- Ensure implementation of appropriate control systems and operational procedures to support investment sales and securities transactions and the effective administration of customer accounts.
- Ensure adequate and appropriate systems and controls are in compliance with Group and Business policies, procedures, standards and codes, including those governing all Risk types, Compliance, Technology and Operations, Finance and Reputation.
Governance
- Maintain awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Bank operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
- Responsible for delivering effective governance as the first line of defence and collaborate closely with second and third line of defence to ensure well controlled ecosystem, meeting the requisite governance standards established within the Bank.

- Serve as the champion for Wealth Products and Propositions delivery across the organization, working closely with Wealth Solutions Product team, distribution teams, segment team, Markets and client-facing units.
- Collaborate with the country product teams and client segments to ensure effective communication, training, and support of digital enablement of wealth platforms and services across the markets.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders (e.g., Wealth, compliance, legal, risk) and external partners (e.g., custodians, platform providers, counterparties, vendors, advisors) to ensure seamless product delivery and integration.

Our Ideal Candidate
- 15+ years of experience in wealth management, investment products, and propositions.
- 7 + years in a senior leadership or global role.
- Proven track record in delivering large scale and complex changes, and embedding best practice
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a global and complex organization.
- Strong track record of large, complex business-technology delivery projects
- Understand core business processes and associated technical solutions
- Proven ability to provide guidance and execute in an agile way through teams across geographic locations.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field (MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred).
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CSPO/CSM/Agile Leadership/PMP) are a plus
