Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer with over 7 years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network infrastructures.
The ideal candidate will be instrumental in ensuring high availability, security, and performance across bank’s enterprise-level networks.
This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting, optimization, and security enforcement, along with a commitment to mentoring junior engineers and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and business users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and optimize complex LAN and WAN networks across multiple locations, ensuring alignment with long-term strategies for network growth and improvement.
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot networking equipment from vendors such as Cisco, Huawei, and Arista, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Implement and maintain advanced routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and technologies (MPLS, VLANs, QoS) to enhance network performance and reliability.
- Monitor network health using tools like SNMP, NetFlow, Extrahop, and SolarWinds. Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and risk analysis to ensure scalability and business continuity.
- Automate network operations using Python, Ansible, Terraform, or other scripting tools, incorporating NetOps practices to streamline processes.
- Lead incident response efforts for network outages, security breaches, and performance degradations. Perform advanced troubleshooting using various network tools.
- Document network configurations and troubleshooting procedures. Mentor and train junior network engineers to enhance team capabilities and knowledge.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or related field.
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in network engineering, focusing on enterprise or service provider networks.
- Certifications: Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, JNCIE, HCIP, HCIE, or equivalent preferred.
- Knowledge and skills:
- Advanced expertise in routing, switching, security, and wireless technologies.
- Advanced knowledge of network automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible, Terraform, Bash, or PowerShell).
- Advanced knowledge of network security protocols and practices (e.g., VPN, firewalls) as well as tools (e.g., Tufin).
- Advanced network administrative and troubleshooting skills, including major version upgrades and preventive maintenance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced expertise in leading network projects and mentoring junior staff while fostering a collaborative environment.
- Advanced network solutioning skill.
- Advanced communicator. Capable of building relationships with diverse audiences, facilitating discussions, resolving conflicts and conveying complex network concepts to various stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in data centre networking, VXLAN, EVPN, ACI, and SDN solutions.
