How will you value-add? 

The ideal candidate will have a background in auditing, with a focus on policy and governance.  The role will be responsible for maintaining the company’s governance framework, ensuring a rigorous balance between regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. 

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with employment laws and internal governance framework. There will be a need to ensure a rigorous balance between regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. This includes developing and implementing HR policies, conducting regular audits, and ensuring that all HR practices meet industry standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and review HR policies and procedures to enhance governance and operational efficiency. 

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes by identifying areas for optimization and driving policy updates. 

  • Identify areas of risk and provide recommendations for improvement to mitigate potential issues. 

  • Coordinate the internal audits for the Human Resources department to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. 

  • Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure audit findings are addressed and corrective actions are implemented. 

  • Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance. 

  • Assist with any ad-hoc tasks assigned. 

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration, Finance or a related field.

  • Between 3 to 5 years of experience in auditing, or in the risk / compliance / governance space, preferably within the Human Resources domain. 

  • Strong understanding of policy development, governance frameworks, and regulatory compliance. 

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

  • Ability to constructively question the status quo and propose constructive and creative ideas to address observed gaps. 

  • Ability to thrive on challenges in a very fast-paced environment, where quality and speed are of the essence.
