Be at the heart of corporate lending! As a Loan Capital Markets Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience in structuring, arranging, and distributing syndicated loans to corporations. You’ll contribute to live transactions and develop a deep understanding of the debt financing landscape.

You’ll be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating a strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. A solid understanding of financial statements and credit analysis is essential.

What you do

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Deal Structuring & Preparation:
    • Terms Sheet Development: Assist in structuring deals and preparing concise terms sheets outlining key financing terms.
    • Pitch Material Creation: Support the preparation of compelling underwriting proposals and pitch materials.
  • Transaction Execution:
    • Roadshow & Syndication Support: Support the deal team in coordinating and executing roadshows, syndication launches, and information package creation.
    • Legal Documentation Review: Assist in reviewing legal documentation to ensure compliance with agreed-upon financing terms.
  • Financial Modelling & Analysis: Contribute to financial modelling efforts and assist in analyzing creditworthiness.
  • Ad-hoc Projects: Support the team with other projects and tasks as needed.

Who you work with

The Loan Capital Markets team within Global Investment Banking connects corporations with lenders through the arrangement and distribution of syndicated loans. We’re a dynamic and collaborative team dedicated to delivering innovative financing solutions.

Who you are

  • Open to learning and eager to contribute to a fast-paced team.
  • Prior internship experience in banking is a plus.
  • Good understanding of financial accounts and possess strong credit analytical skills.
  • Experience with financial modelling is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write concisely and effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Independent, self-motivated, and possess strong interpersonal skills.
  • Meticulous and able to work effectively under pressure.
  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in any discipline.
