As an ALM Intern, you’ll be part of a dynamic team that drives the bank’s asset and liability management capabilities. You’ll have the opportunity to develop your technical and analytical skills, and contribute to the growth of the bank’s ALM business.

How you succeed

To excel in this role, you’ll need to be a quick learner, able to adapt to changing priorities, and have a strong analytical mindset. You’ll work closely with the ALM team to enhance existing visualization and reporting tools, automate current BAU processes, and perform analysis and research to optimize the desk’s balance sheet. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts to stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams will be crucial in driving results.

What you do

Your responsibilities will include:

• Visualization and Reporting: enhance existing Liability Management Visualization and Reporting Tool (Tableau/PowerBI)

• Process Automation: automate current BAU process (VBA/Python) to improve efficiency and accuracy

• Balance Sheet Optimization: perform analysis and research to optimize the desk’s balance sheet and enhance liquidity management

• Business Optimization Analytics: assist in GM ALM Business Optimization Analytics matters, including P&L driver, spread analysis, cashflow risk, etc.

Who you are

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in a relevant field (e.g. computer science, mathematics, finance)

• Good understanding of financial markets, financial modeling, and economics

• Programming experience with VBA/Python and strong Microsoft Excel skills

• Knowledgeable in Tableau/PowerBI Dashboards and data analytics

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines • Good communication and interpersonal skills
