Why Join
Join the Global Markets Research – Credit Research team at OCBC and gain hands-on experience in the world of credit research and financial markets. As a Credit Research Intern, you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced research analysts, contribute to the development of market intelligence, and gain exposure to the inner workings of the bank’s credit research function. This internship will position you for future opportunities in asset management, banking, and financial services.
How you succeed
To excel in this role, you’ll need to be a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong passion for financial markets. You’ll work closely with the research team to analyze market data, create research publications, and distribute content to clients and stakeholders. Your ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and communicate complex ideas effectively will be crucial in driving results.
What you do
Your responsibilities will include:
• Content Creation: analyze market data, contribute to internal and external research publications, and maintain financial models and spreadsheets of companies
• Research and Analysis: collect and analyze information on industries and companies, and provide market intelligence to clients and stakeholders
• Publication Management: distribute content, manage publication templates, and ensure timely delivery of research reports
• Event Participation: attend external events, including investor meetings and industry conferences, as a research analyst
• Team Collaboration: work closely with the research team to identify areas for improvement, contribute to team activities, and build relationships with stakeholders

Who you are
• Strong background in Accountancy, Business or Banking & Finance
• Familiarity with financial statements and strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Word
• Keen interest in financial markets and a willingness to learn
• Familiarity with Bloomberg and/or programming skills (optional but advantageous)
• Excellent written, reading, and verbal English skills
• Self-management skills to work unsupervised and complete tasks as required
• Ability to commit to a minimum 6 months on a full-time basis
Learning Objectives
This internship will provide you with:
• Hands-on experience in credit research and financial markets
• Exposure to the inner workings of the bank’s credit research function
• Development of research and analysis skills, including financial modeling and data analysis
• Opportunity to work with experienced research analysts and build relationships with stakeholders
