How You Succeed

To thrive in this role, you’ll need to be a proactive problem-solver with a passion for data. A willingness to learn new tools and technologies quickly is essential, as you’ll be working with both Starburst (SQL) and Power BI. You’ll collaborate closely with the MRPA team, proactively seeking clarification and contributing innovative ideas. Your ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions, and to communicate your findings clearly, will be vital to achieving success.

What You Do

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Data Migration Support: Assist in the migration of existing Qlikview dashboards to Starburst (SQL) and Power BI, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
  • Dashboard Development: Contribute to the development of new Power BI dashboards based on business requirements.
  • Data Analysis: Support the team in analyzing profitability data using Starburst and Power BI, identifying trends and insights.
  • Testing & Validation: Participate in the testing and validation of migrated dashboards to ensure functionality and reliability.
  • Documentation: Assist in documenting the migration process and dashboard specifications.
  • Ad-hoc Tasks: Provide support on other data analysis and reporting tasks as assigned.

You’ll be joining the Management Reporting, Planning & Analysis (MRPA) team within Group Finance. We’re a dynamic and collaborative group responsible for providing insightful financial reporting and analysis to support strategic decision-making across OCBC. We embrace innovation and are committed to leveraging data to drive performance.

Who You Are

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Proficient in SQL.
  • Familiar with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlikview.
  • A strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
  • Proactive and eager to learn.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
