Play a key role in contributing to the development and implementation of credit risk models that support the bank’s credit risk measurement. As an intern in this team, you will gain hands-on experience in handling large volumes of data, develop your analytical and technical skills, and learn how to communicate complex information effectively.

To succeed in this role, you will need to be an analytical and independent thinker with strong written and verbal communication skills. You will need to be able to handle large volumes of data, perform quantitative analysis, and develop dashboards to present technical information.

What you do

As a Credit Risk Modelling intern, you will:

 ·   Implement and maintain credit risk models supporting the Small Business, Consumer and Wholesale segments of the Group

 ·   Perform system user acceptance tests or data quality checks to ensure the robustness of credit risk models

 ·   Develop dashboards and participate in productivity improvement initiatives

Who you work with

You will be working with the Credit Risk Modelling team, a high-profile, multi-disciplinary risk analytics team that covers credit risk models at OCBC Group. The team is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing various types of credit risk models, and works closely with other teams to support the bank’s credit risk measurement.

Who you are

We are looking for an analytical and independent thinker with good written and verbal communication skills. You should:

 ·   Have computational skills and experience in handling data and performing quantitative analysis

 ·   Be able to work independently and as part of a team

 ·   Have a strong interest in credit risk modelling and data analysis

During your internship, you will have the opportunity to:

 ·   Gain insights on credit risk models and how to analyse portfolios for credit risk assessment in banks

 ·   Develop hands-on skills in handling large volumes of data in a structured manner
