As a Marketing and Communication Intern, you’ll play a vital role in developing and executing impactful B2B marketing campaigns targeted towards the Chinese-speaking business community. You’ll gain hands-on experience in content creation, social media marketing, and agency management, contributing to the growth of OCBC’s Global Wholesale Banking business.

What you do

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Content Creation (Chinese): Support the ideation and creation of compelling content in Simplified Chinese for various marketing channels.
  • Social Media Management (Chinese): Contribute to the development and execution of social media strategies for key Chinese platforms like WeChat and XiaoHongShu.
  • Agency Collaboration: Liaise with creative agencies to develop Chinese-centric marketing assets that align with our brand guidelines and campaign objectives.
  • Content Review & Quality Control: Vet all Chinese ad copies and content to ensure accuracy, cultural relevance, and brand consistency.
  • Market Insights: Leverage your understanding of Chinese media consumption habits to inform marketing strategies and optimize content performance.
  • Campaign Support: Support the development and execution of 360 marketing campaigns for our B2B audience.

Who you work with

The Marketing and Communication team within Global Wholesale Banking is dedicated to building awareness, generating leads, and strengthening relationships with our corporate clients. You’ll work alongside experienced marketing professionals, content creators, and agency partners in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Who you are

  • Open to learning and feedback
  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree.
  • Bilingual and strong in content writing in Chinese.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Chinese Social Media Channels (WeChat/XiaoHongShu).
  • Familiarity with Chinese media consumption habits, especially within the business community.

Learning Objectives

This internship will provide you with:

  • Experience in developing a 360 marketing campaign for B2B audiences, including components of digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing.
  • Hands-on experience in creating engaging content in Simplified Chinese for a business audience.
  • Insights into the nuances of the Chinese media landscape and how to effectively reach key target audiences.
  • Exposure to agency management and the creative development process.
