As an In-house Legal Counsel, you will provide legal support to allocated Business Units within Enterprise, Singtel Singapore.

 

Make an Impact by:

 

  • Provide accurate, prompt and robust legal advice to the Enterprise business units, including overseas business units.
  • Draft, review, amend and negotiate a wide variety of contracts, with a particular focus on sales and procurement contracts in the Telco, ICT space.
  • Provide legal education and training to the business units and other stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with other stakeholders within Singtel to ensure internal policy and corporate governance is adhered to.
  • Possess excellent client relationship skills with keen interest in learning and understanding the business, its drivers and the operations.
  • Being a proactive team player, and willingness to explore and learn new skillsets. Actively participate and take ownership of projects as and when required. Being able to manage concurrent timelines and stakeholders’ expectations. 
  • An interest in legal technology and tools will be a plus.

 

Skills for Success: 

 

  • Law degree (Singapore or other recognized law school)
  • 6 to 8 years of relevant experience (at least 3 to 4 years in practice, 3 to 4 years in house)
  • Strong legal analytical skills with a good eye for detail and sound knowledge of general corporate and contract law.
  • Experience in reviewing, amending, negotiating variety of contracts.
  • Keen interest in the business and its operations and processes.
  • Delivery commercially practical and legally sound solutions for stakeholders.
  • Good interpersonal skills – ability to engage, work well with stakeholders.
  • Able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment, and to meet critical deadlines.
  • Confidence to negotiate with counterparty, where required.
  • Ability to explain clearly and confidently, legal concepts in simple layman terms to internal stakeholders.
  • Able to work well independently, and collaboratively as part of a team, as and when required.
  • Be a fast learner, able to work independently, adaptable to change.
  • Good time management.
