What you do

Corporate income tax (CIT)

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly tax provisions
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of corporate tax returns 
  • Assist in the preparation of response to queries raised by external auditors during year-end audit
  • Assist in the preparation of response to tax queries raised on the Bank by the Tax Authority or other Government Agencies
  • Assist in managing the tax incentives under the Financial Sector Incentive scheme (FSI), including filing of MAS annual declaration and renewal of FSI tax incentives

Goods and services tax (GST)

  • Assist in the preparation and submission of the Bank’s GST returns 
  • Support the testing of GST controls during GST audits and identify areas for improvement
  • Assist Business/ Support Units in their GST related queries

Others

  • Review GST and withholding tax treatments on payments made to foreign suppliers 
  • Assist in streamlining tax operations’ processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Perform role of dedicated Tax Relationship Manager to designated Business/Support Units

The candidate will report to the Singapore Tax Controller (Bank).

 

Qualifications

 

Who you are

  • Self-starter, independent and motivated, and is comfortable dealing with management and other business colleagues
  • Proven work experience as a Tax Accountant or Tax Analyst in-house tax function (preferably in a Bank)
  • At least a Diploma holder or equivalent qualification in Accountancy 
  • Tax qualifications will be an advantage but not mandatory
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, with the ability to handle large datasets and use advanced formulas
  • Familiarity with operating within Oracle ERP will be advantageous
  • A strong communicator (both written and verbal) with strengths in attention to details and excellent analytical skills
