Our Firmwide Corporate Service unit helps build our competitive advantage by providing support to all lines of businesses, spanning Administration, Business Development, Finance, Human Resources, Learning & Development, Legal, Marketing & Communications and Technology. Our specialists in each function bring together a diverse set of skill-sets and expertise to best service their internal clients.
The Operations and Change Management (OCM) team supports all Firmwide Corporate Service departments to improve the quality of the service by streamlining and automating connected processes as well as supporting the implementation of best in class business applications such as Workday, G Suite, Salesforce, etc. The OCM team operationalises the data strategy for the Information Solutions Board.
The Data Analyst is responsible for working with the IT team to model the data in the organisation’s core SQL database, maintain the data dictionary, document and monitor the connections to the source databases. The Data Analyst will develop business intelligence dashboards using PowerBI and Google Lookers. The Data Analyst will also be responsible for performing ETL using Alteryx, Python, or R.
The data that the Junior Data Analyst will work with is the backbone of the organisation. This data is the basis for the firm’s management decisions. The Junior Data Analyst will help to ensure that the data is accurate and up-to-date, and that it is presented clearly to support the management decisions.
Responsibilities:

Model the objects in the organisation’s core SQL database

Maintain the data dictionary

Document and monitor the connections to the source databases

Ensure data quality in the data mart through the development and maintenance of exception reports

Automate information retrieval from external sources

Develop business intelligence dashboards using PowerBI and Google Lookers

Perform ETL using Alteryx, Python, or R
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, or a related field

Experience with SQL

Experience with data modelling and data dictionary management

Experience with ETL tools such as Alteryx, Python, or R

Experience with business intelligence tools such as PowerBI and Google Lookers

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
