Make an Impact by:

  • Leading the procurement of iOSS, including preparing tender specifications, evaluating submissions from both technical and commercial perspectives, and managing the end-to-end implementation process.
  • Coordinating with system vendors and service providers for end-to-end service testing and troubleshooting, including network diagnostics and documentation of testing processes.
  • Leading commercial and technical negotiations with both existing and prospective vendors.
  • Engaging with both local and regional counterparts to identify and realize cost efficiencies and operational synergies.
  • Managing vendors throughout all phases of project implementation.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to gather, review, and analyze technical requirements, and driving solution design and implementation, including cybersecurity requirements.
  • Evaluating and adopting automation, AIOps, and analytics capabilities to transform OSS systems into a more intelligent and integrated ecosystem platform.
  • Managing the financial aspects of iOSS, including both Capex and Opex.
  • Overseeing day-to-day operations of the iOSS systems post-deployment, ensuring system stability, timely issue resolution, and consistent performance in alignment with business and operational objectives.

 

Skills for Success:

  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications or Mobile Communications or related tertiary qualification
  • 5 years of working experience in telecommunications/IT industry, especially in the role of system integration & operation.
  • Have good analytical and systematic troubleshooting skills in technical fault isolation and rectification.
  • Performing vendor analysis including but not limited to RFI, RFP, RFQ and contract negotiations.
  • Expertise in all elements of the project Life Cycle i.e. planning, specification, execution, recording, completion and defect management.
  • Be able to work outside normal working hours to coordinate upgrades and patch loading as such activities may disrupt mobile money services.
