Job Summary

  • Developing and maintaining high standards by establishing best in class portfolio management methodologies, standards and tools
  • Lead the Portfolio Management Office (PMO) pillar in Product Enablement (PE) Hive to realise business value through delivery of hive strategy, vision and roadmap
  • Support the engagement of key stakeholders across business teams, product areas, process and policy owners, etc.
  • Oversees the Portfolio Management (PMO) including governance, team leadership, tracking and monitoring, prioritization, communication and quality controls

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain the agenda for Refinement Forum focussing on the key priorities aligned to business strategy and outcomes
  • Lead the Portfolio Management Office (PMO) pillar in PE Hive to realise business value through delivery of hive strategy, vision and roadmap
  • Establish procedures for oversight and alignment of the Hive and Programme portfolio
  • Identify the project stakeholders and their roles and communication requirements within the delivery of the portfolio
  • Run the Monthly Product Enablement Refinement Forum covering the key priorities, achievements, challenges to meet the strategic objectives
  • Provide inputs to the Quarterly Performance Reviews on the Incremental Change and Transformation Change initiatives
  • Work with Coverage Portfolio team, functional and project teams to establish and align project budgets
  • Review resource plans and analyse supply and demand of project outcomes with expertise and capacity for both internal and vendor resources
  • Support the delivery team(s) in the resolution of project constraints, dependencies, issues and blocker(s) relating to overall portfolio
  • Track and provide timely reports on project expenditure
  • Analyse and define project schedules to optimise delivery at the strategic portfolio level
  • Monitor project progress and communicate project status, potential constraints and key achievements and challenges to internal and external stakeholders according to governance procedures
  • Coordinate project deliverables with Product Owners, Technology Leads, Analysts, in a direct and indirect reporting structure
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including: Business teams, Risk, Technology, Compliance, Operations and other teams identified as project stakeholders
  • Build and maintain relationship with senior management, key stakeholders, and project sponsors
  • Act on any ad-hoc tasks and requests as may be required to support portfolio, project delivery

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiencies within the PMO pillar, initiatives within the Hive
  • Develop a good understanding of and proactively adopt the evolving governance and ways of working
  • Stay updated with trends and best practices
  • Manage the PMO organization, hire and manage project staffing requirements in line with Hive, Programme objectives
  • Lead and manage the work of a team of 3 Portfolio Analysts managing PMO capability for PE Hive
  • Oversee Project Managers for the delivery of projects/programs on time, within scope and on budget
  • Inspire, coach and mentor the team, developing the careers and capabilities with goal-based structured mentoring
  • Support the overall development and adoption of portfolio management capabilities and practices
  • Identify and assess project issues and risks proactively, and provide guidance on risk mitigation strategies and help project sponsors and stakeholders develop contingency plans
  • Support the management and oversight of project risk and escalation processes to ensure early detection and mitigation planning for risks relating to schedule, cost and scope
  • Monitor all major risk issues and concentrations. Where appropriate, direct remedial action and/or ensure adequate reporting to Refinement Forums and Committees
  • Establish the framework to monitor and measure project performance, including scope, schedule, budget, and quality, and track projects progress and outcomes
  • Provide project status updates and report to senior management and key stakeholders
  • Prepare the Refinement Forum, Quarterly/ Monthly Portfolio Performance Review (QPR/ MPR) packs highlighting the progress, risks, issues and key spotlights
  • Collect and analyse project data, such as key performance indicators and metrics
  • Ensure the Refinement Forum and PgSC packs are adhere to Banks Governance Standards
  • Ensure that initiatives are delivered consistent with the requirements of the Banks Governance Standards

Our Ideal Candidate

Skills & Experience

  • 12+ years of relevant experience as PMO, Programme Management in leadership role in financial industry
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, processes, tools, and techniques. Ideally the candidate will hold a current Project Management Institute certification (PMP or PgMP).
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, and communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Budget, cost and profitability management skills
  • Flexible, adaptable and resourceful when managing changing timelines and multiple deliverables
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Leverage the opportunity provided by Corporate Social Responsibility to enhance the Group’s internal and external reputation and indirectly influence the bottom-line
  • Promote the Group’s brand and Here for good with clients and regulators
  • Perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as business administration, project management, and etc.
