The role reports into the Senior Director – Group Strategy, Engineering, and Innovation (GSEI) / Network Services Development (NSD). It plays a pivotal role in shaping Singtel Group’s AI-driven network, Autonomous Networks (AN), OSS and CPaaS architecture strategy.
The role defines and governs the Group Network AI and AN architecture, framework, and roadmap, while guiding OpCos on AI/AN use cases and aligning OpCo roadmaps with Group strategy and AN maturity targets.
The role focuses on enabling the transition from traditional network operations to AI-enabled and autonomous operating models, spanning network, OSS and IT domains, while ensuring architectural consistency, scalability, and long-term sustainability across the Group.
Make an Impact by
Network AI / AN Strategy and Architecture
- Define the Group Network AI and Autonomous Networks (AN) architecture, framework, and roadmap aligned to Singtel28 and TM Forum AN maturity models (L3/L4).
- Develop and maintain AN reference architectures, architectural guardrails, and best practices to guide OpCo implementations.
- Work with network domain experts to align AI/AN adoption across RAN, Mobile Core, Transport, Fixed Access, OSS, and Network Operations.
OpCo Engagement and Alignment
- Partner with OpCos to identify AN use cases, assess architectural readiness, and identify gaps across network, OSS, and IT layers.
- Provide architectural advisory support to OpCos to guide roadmap definition and prioritisation toward AN maturity targets.
- Ensure alignment of OpCo AN initiatives with Group architecture and strategy
OSS Strategy & Transformation
- Provide architectural leadership and guidance on OSS transformation initiatives, including platform strategy, AI enablement, and alignment with AN L4 objectives.
- Support and align Group and OpCo OSS-related decisions, including tender evaluations, vendor assessments, and strategic direction (e.g. agentic AI on existing OSS platforms versus platform replacement).
- Work with OpCos and vendors to ensure OSS solutions support AI-driven service assurance, closed-loop automation, and future AN L4 evolution.
- Engage stakeholders during tender specifications, vendor clarification workshops, and solution evaluations to ensure alignment with Group AN architecture and roadmap.
CPaaS Architecture & Enablement
- Provide Group-level architectural guidance for CPaaS initiatives, ensuring alignment with Network architecture, and digital service exposure strategies.
- Work with OpCos to align CPaaS architectures, API exposure models, and integration patterns with Group standards.
- Support CPaaS tender specifications, vendor evaluations, and clarification workshops, ensuring scalable, secure, and future-ready solutions.
Technical Leadership and Governance
- Provide technical leadership on AI, automation, closed-loop control, intent-based operations, A2A-T, MCP and agentic AI within network environments.
- Engage vendors and partners to evaluate AI/AN, OSS, and CPaaS solution architectures, influencing product direction and roadmap alignment.
- Support architecture governance forums to drive consistency, reuse, and scalability across the Group.
Contribute to industry engagement and standards activities related to Autonomous Networks, AI, and network automation where applicable.
Skills for Success
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 15+ years of experience in telecommunications with deep expertise across network, OSS, and IT architecture, including large-scale transformation initiatives in complex telco environments.
- Proven track record in defining and governing network and IT architectures, translating strategy into executable technical roadmaps across regional operating companies.
- Hands-on experience designing and governing end-to-end Network AI and Autonomous Network architectures, including telemetry ingestion, AI/ML inferencing, automation, orchestration, and closed-loop control.
- Experience integrating AI-driven capabilities across OSS, network, and IT layers, alongside hands-on work with automation and AI/ML platforms and AI-enabled OSS.
- Experience engaging and working with major telecommunications vendors across architecture and solution discussions.
- Deep expertise in telecommunications network and OSS architectures, covering RAN, Core, Transport, Service Assurance, and Network Operations domains.
- Strong technical capability in Network AI, automation frameworks, and Autonomous Networks (AN) architecture, including AI-assisted and closed-loop operational models.
