We are seeking a dynamic and motivated candidate to join our Global Metals & Mining team, contributing to transaction execution, sector analysis, and client deliverables.

How it works

 

This role is well suited to a motivated individual who thrives in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment, and who is eager to build strong client relationships while delivering a high standard of customer service.

You will support the development, maintenance, and expansion of relationships with Metals & Mining clients, including mining companies, processors, and participants across the metals value chain. Working closely with senior Relationship Managers, you will assist in client engagement activities and develop an understanding of client needs and industry dynamics.

The role requires strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively with clients, internal teams, and other stakeholders. You should be proactive, detail‑oriented, and customer‑focused, with a strong interest in delivering high‑quality client service and supporting business growth. Prior exposure to structured commodities or project finance lending in the Metals & Mining sector would be advantageous.
 

What you do

Portfolio Management

1. Support the management and growth of a portfolio of corporate relationships with a global focus on ferrous metals, base metals, transition metals, and associated minerals.

2. Assist senior Relationship Managers in monitoring portfolio performance and identifying opportunities to strengthen client engagement.

Negotiation & Deal Structuring

1. Support the structuring and management of trade and commodity financing solutions tailored to client requirements.
2. Assist in reviewing and analyzing financial models, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash‑flow projections, as part of transaction assessment and execution.

Revenue Growth & Business Development

1. Contribute to revenue development efforts by supporting initiatives to deepen wallet share across new and existing client relationships.

2. Assist in identifying and evaluating potential new business opportunities within the sector.

Credit Assessment & Risk Management

1. Support the preparation of credit proposals, including in‑depth credit risk analysis.
2. Assist with the credit approval process, follow‑ups, and coordination of legal documentation in collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

1. Liaise and coordinate with relevant business and support units across the Bank to facilitate cross‑selling of trade finance, global markets, cash management, and capital markets products.
2. Work closely with internal teams including investment, risk, and operations to ensure timely and effective client solutions.

Who you are

– Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
– At least 4 years of relevant experience in corporate banking, relationship management, trade finance, project finance or a related financial services role.
– Strong written, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly to both clients and internal stakeholders.
– Ability to think strategically, exercise sound judgement, and work collaboratively across teams and functions.
