Singtel x Singapore Institute of Technology have embarked on a Work-Study Programme (WSP) launched in Feb 2023. The WSP is called “The Catalyst Programme” which is a structured on-the-job (OJT) development WSP that allows Polytechnic Diploma holders to secure a full-time position with Singtel while pursuing a university honours degree in Infrastructure and Systems Engineering. This programme is open to Singtel’s internal employees as well as external polytechnic diploma holders preferably from the ICT domain. Non-ICT diploma holders are encouraged to apply as well. In line with building capability in Singapore ICT sector this program will develop & groom talent over a 3-year period completing micro-credentials for each module which eventually stack-up to an honours degree in Infrastructure and Systems Engineering. Candidates will be offered a specific role as the one shared below. Are you ready for this challenge? 

 

Make an Impact by

  • Plan, execute, and oversee the deployment of telecommunications network infrastructure.
  • Enhance Mobile Access engineering team’s capabilities and foster a new generation of skilled professionals who are well-versed in the latest industry practices and technologies.
  • Collaborate with project management, vendors and contractors, agencies, and building management to ensure successful network installations.
  • Maintain documentation and provide reports on deployment progress.
  • Provide regular updates on project status to the project manager to stay abreast of resource progress and project status.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network deployment issues on time.
  • Digitalization of manual workflows and providing customized analysis reports.
  • Other work as assigned by the supervisor.

 

Skills for Success

  • A completed diploma from a reputable Polytechnic.
  • Applicants should have a strong passion for mobile technologies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting to technology changes and meeting business requirements with aggressive deadlines.
  • Resourcefulness, analytical thinking, and excellent written and verbal communication skills, including good presentation, reporting, and organisational abilities.
  • Strong leadership skills and decision-making capabilities to effectively manage projects across various departments and business units.
  • The ability to effectively manage vendors and stakeholders.
