DESCRIPTION
Business Conduct & Ethics is looking for a seasoned attorney with significant experience in corporate investigations and compliance programs to lead the APAC Investigations team.
Key job responsibilities
As Senior Corporate Counsel, you will help shape and drive Amazon’s business conduct and ethics program across APAC. Your role includes identifying and mitigating corruption risks, conducting risk assessments, delivering compliance guidance to global attorneys and business leaders, managing compliance and training initiatives, leading remediation efforts, and collaborating with Risk Management, Internal Audit, HR, and Finance teams.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
-A qualified lawyer with at least 10+ years of post-qualification legal experience, including at least 3 years investigations or compliance experience with corporations, law firms, or government agencies.
-Anti-corruption and bribery experience including counseling and defense.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
-Experience in crisis management and response
-Highest standards of ethics, professional integrity, and discretion
-Ability and willingness to travel and work extended hours when necessary
-Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, as well as demonstrated proficiency in working closely with and advising senior executives of an organization
-Hands-on project management experience, including the ability to manage a large number and variety of mission-critical projects, working independently and often in ambiguous environments
-Team player and consensus builder with great people skills and a good sense of humor, who can effectively and efficiently collaborate to build relationships with attorneys and business clients at all levels throughout the organization
-Sound and practical business judgment as well as common sense
