Why Join
As a key member of our Risk team, you’ll play a vital role in managing credit risk. You’ll work closely with relationship managers to assess creditworthiness, identify potential risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them. It’s a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
How you succeed
To succeed in this role, you’ll need to stay up-to-date with market trends, regulatory requirements, and industry developments. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and assess credit risks and develop effective risk management strategies. Your ability to analyze complex data, think critically, and communicate effectively will be essential in driving business growth while managing risk.
Roles and Responsibilities:

Providing independent assessment of credit and other related risks aspects of corporate, commercial and institutional real estate loan transactions as a senior credit approver to ensure alignment with internal credit underwriting standards, policies and regulatory requirements.

Working with relationship managers and business teams globally to provide transaction guidance, identify suitable business opportunities and maintain a good quality loan portfolio jointly with Business Units.

Assisting in the proactive portfolio management of the global wholesale real estate loan portfolio, including but not limited to assessing credit reviews, conducting periodic and thematic industry/portfolio reviews, portfolio stress test exercises, and monitoring portfolio and concentration risks on the back of evolving and dynamic market conditions.

Identifying and providing timely and sound credit risk mitigation strategies on potentially weaker credits for early remediation.
Requirements:
-
University degree with around 20 years of banking experience in marketing/ relationship management and/or credit responsibilities for corporate/commercial real estate transactions. Experience in credit risk approval for real estate financing transactions will be useful.

Good knowledge and experience of the real estate industry across various geographical markets.

Strong credit and analytical skills with proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good understanding of the credit process from loan origination, structuring, approval, documentation, implementation and on-going monitoring.

Excellent communication skills to all stakeholders and senior management.
