The Senior Engineering Officer – Fiber is responsible to take ownership, manage and supervise contractor on fibre splicing, fibre termination, fibre patching and fiber testing for all cable diversion works.

 

Make an Impact by:

  • To understand and follow all established operation procedures and engineering instructions.
  • To be proficient in the use of fiber equipment for fiber cable troubleshooting.
  • To be on standby and attend to fiber cable faults related to fiber diversion works.
  • To liaise with building management for the fiber cable diversion works.
  • Responsible for all fibre cable diversion works including those in conjunction with road diversion and major government agencies.
  • To liase with internal parties on fiber implementation issues.
  • To ensure the contractors follow safety procedure in accordance to the work health and safety act (WHSA) and to use appropriate safety equipment so as to complete the assigned job efficiently and safely. 

 

Skills For Success:

  • Diploma/ Nitec/ Higher Nitec in Electronics Engineering/Telecommunications or in relevant field.
  • At least 1 year of working experience, however fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Able to work during non-office hours on an occasional basis and be on 24 x 7 hours standby alert for ad-hoc faults.
  • Good working knowledge of PC applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Good communication skills, keen to learn and a team player
