The Senior Manager, Strategy & Transformation plays a critical role in shaping and executing Singtel Singapore’s strategic agenda. This role focuses on enterprise-wide business planning, performance reporting, and transformation initiatives.
The role requires strong problem-solving skills, stakeholder management, and a solid understanding of P&L and operational drivers within telco. It is well-suited for an ex-consultant (Associate level, McKinsey/BCG/Bain or similar) with experience in strategy, transformation, and telco / IT sectors.
The Senior Manager will support post-merger integration efforts, drive cost optimisation programs, and ensure strategic plans translate into measurable business outcomes.
Make An Impact By
Strategic Business Planning & Value realization
- Lead annual and quarterly planning processes, including development of AOP and tracking of scorecards.
- Provide structured analysis and reporting to senior leadership, ensuring visibility of performance against strategic goals.
- Translate strategic priorities into execution roadmaps and performance metrics.
- Track AIDA value delivery, design KPIs and escalate issues as needed
Transformation & Enterprise Programs
- Manage organisation-wide transformation initiatives, including AI-enabled programs, operating model redesign, and cost optimisation.
- Support post-merger integration activities (synergy tracking, integration governance, issue resolution).
- Ensure disciplined execution and delivery of outcomes through cross-functional collaboration.
Financial & Operational Analysis
- Develop analysis on P&L drivers, cost structures, and operational levers to inform strategic decisions.
- Identify efficiency opportunities and support scenario modelling for transformation programs.
- Partner with Group Finance and BU leads to ensure robust business cases.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as trusted advisor to senior executives, supporting structured decision-making.
- Work cross-functionally across BUs and Group functions to align on transformation and planning priorities.
- Build alignment through strong communication and influence, without direct authority.
Skills to Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
- 5–7 years total experience.
- At least 2–3 years in management consulting (Associate level, McKinsey/BCG/Bain or equivalent).
- Experience in transformation programs, business planning, and corporate finance.
- Familiarity with telco/tech P&L drivers, operational models, and cost structures.
- Exposure to post-merger integration and cost optimisation initiatives.
- Strong strategic problem solving and structured communication.
- Financial and operational analysis, including modelling of P&L drivers.
- Project management and transformation program tracking.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and performance tools (e.g., PowerBI).
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence without authority.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with credibility at senior levels.
- Adaptability and resilience in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
- Strong team player, able to collaborate across diverse functions.
