Make an Impact by
- Review, co-ordinate and the project management of all sustainability programs for DCs.
- Advise DC Operation Managers on all aspects of the Data Center’s LEED/Green Mark certification process.
- Help to review and to contribute towards ensuring respective DC designs meets LEED/Green Mark principles including industrial best practices.
- Work with cross-functional teams to track and analyze energy and water consumption in respective DCs and to identify potential wastage, thereafter, to recommend improvements to be undertaken for existing facilities.
- Development and track sustainability KPIs reports and to ensure continuous improvement are executed to improve the respective sustainability metrics that will be incorporated into the sustainability report.
- Ensure the reduction of carbon footprint of existing DCs for all natural resources including but not limited to energy, water and building material.
- Contribute to develop sustainability policies and processes templates.
- Lead all sustainability management review programs to improve energy and water efficiency, utilities consumption, the minimization of wastage and waste recycling.
- Liaise with cross-functional team to obtain utilities consumption, waste recycling and waste disposal data to establish monthly reporting.
- Assist in green energy procurement programs including bidding process
- Perform site audits and conduct analyses to increase efficiencies, promote renewable resources and sustainability programs
- To continuously acquire information about industry sustainability practices, standards and guidelines, and local regulatory requirements. To distill and to share with Product, Project and Engineering teams during regular team new sustainability trends and outlook.
- Proactively review and investigate new technologies that may be utilized in new DCs and/or enhance existing DCs
- Develop respective business cases for new sustainability projects which will include initial financial investment and payback periods considerations.
Skills for Success
- Relevant degree in Environmental Studies, Energy and Sustainability, Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical).
- Proven work experience and exposure to sustainability projects (minimum 8-10 yrs)
- Conversant with typical mechanical and electrical systems used in a DC (e.g. cooling systems, generator, UPS, etc.)
- Possess Green Mark AP and Singapore Certified Energy Manager (SCEM) certifications. LEED accredited professional is preferred.
- Possess good leadership skills and problem-solving skills as well as a good team player.
