We are seeking a passionate and experienced Technical Learning Partner to join our Singtel 8George Academy. You will play a key role in designing/developing and delivering technical skills development initiatives in partnership with business and HR stakeholders, while leveraging competency management expertise to bridge the technical skills gap.  As a Technical Learning Partner, you will be responsible to co-develop a strategic roadmap for enhancing the technical capability and skills, working closely with business leaders, ensuring alignment with the Emerging Technology Guild to prepare for future organizational needs.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

Technical Training Design and Development

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify technical training needs, and design structured training plans encompassing core technical domains and emerging technologies.
  • Design and develop roadmaps for technical capability development, focusing on tech recertification, refreshing tech skills, and upskilling requirements.
  • Keep abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure training programmes are impactful.

 

Competency Management

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to co-create digital and emerging tech competency frameworks, and implement skills assessments to measure employee capabilities, and address competency gaps within their workforce.
  • Instil a culture of learning where managers and employees co-develop personalized learning pathways based on skills assessment results to address technical skill gaps.
  • Work with the Technical Capability Development team to design and curate career progression pathways for employees aligned to current and future tech competencies and skills pathways.
  • Monitor, assess and report on the overall effectiveness of competency management initiatives.

 

Programme Management – Delivery and Support

  • Co-design (with SMEs and external providers) technical training programmes in engaging and interactive formats such as instructor-led sessions, online modules, blended learning.
  • Measure the impact of tech learning initiatives and being able to use the data to evaluate the effectiveness and application of learning interventions.

 

Trusted Partnerships

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders (SMEs, business leaders, learners) to understand their needs and ensure that learning interventions deliver impactful results.
  • Forge partnerships with government agencies, external vendors and industry experts to stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in technical capability development.
  • Create a collaborative learning environment within the Singtel Group ecosystem where internal and external knowledge is shared/leveraged to continuously improve approaches to tech capability development.

 

The ideal candidate should have/be:

  • Educated to degree level, and iHRP certified (preferred).
  • 10-12 years of working experience, with 3-5 years of experience in technical capability development along with designing tech competency maps, and Programme Management experience. Experience as technical trainer or technical training consultant is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Proficient in planning, organising and operationalising development strategies.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills; sharp business acumen.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects and to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills; ability to engage, influence and build relationships with senior stakeholders and multiple stakeholders across all levels in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical, resourceful, result-focused, innovative and meticulous.
