We are seeking a dynamic and experienced candidate to join our Metals & Mining team.
You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with these Metals & Mining clients, understanding their financial needs, and providing them with tailored solutions. How it works
This role is ideal for a seasoned corporate banking professional with a good understanding of the metals and mining sector, trade and financial markets, and corporate relationship management.
You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and expanding relationships with key industry players, including mining companies, processors and players along the metals value chain. You will need to be a strong communicator and relationship builder, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders. You will also need to be proactive and results-driven, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service and driving business growth. Prior experience in structured commodities and project finance lending in Metals & Mining will be preferred.
What you do
- Portfolio Management: Manage and expand portfolio of corporate relationships with a global focus on ferrous metals, base metals, transition metals and its minerals
- Negotiation & Deal Structuring: Structure and manage (trade) financing solutions tailored to meet the requirements of the portfolio including evaluate financial models with P&L, B/S and cash-flow projections.
- Revenue Growth: Revenue development to deepen wallet share on new and existing client relationships as well as to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities
- Credit Assessment: Responsible for preparing credit proposals (including preparing of in-depth credit risk analysis and close follow through of the credit approval and legal documentation.)
- Cross-functional collaboration: Independent liaison and co-ordination with relevant business and supporting units of the Bank to cross-sell trade, global markets, cash management, capital markets products to deepen client relationships as well as to work closely with internal teams, including investment, risk, and operation.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Guide junior relationship managers, fostering teamwork and cooperation.
Who you are

Experience: Minimum 8 years in relationship management, corporate banking, financial services, or a relevant sector.

Industry Expertise: Strong knowledge of metals and other commodity markets, structured trade finance…, etc. and proven ability to drive revenue growth and business development.

Strategic Thinking: Ability to assess risks, identify opportunities, and develop long-term client engagement strategies. You are required to have a strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Communication & Negotiation: Strong interpersonal skills for high-level client interactions. Ability to converse fluently in Mandarin is a plus

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
