As the Enabling Platforms team, we hold full accountability for the build and run functions for a spectrum of enabler platforms that provide vital support to Singtel Singapore. We take the lead in Driving application technology standards, simplification, fostering cohesion among systems, promoting reusability.

Our mandate also extends to managing critical aspects of application infrastructure, including, Container Runtime Platform, Developer Platform, and Data platforms.

We play a fundamental role in ensuring the continued efficiency, innovation, and robustness of our technology ecosystem.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Developer Platform Engineer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Developer Platform engineering as a product, with proven ability to drive adoption of processes and technologies, and a reputation for delivering valuable outcomes for Developers.

Make an impact by:

• Continuously improving the reliability and performance of the Developer Platform.
• Ensuring the platform meets the needs of our customers at the lowest total cost of ownership (TCO).
• Operating and troubleshooting complex live systems serving over 1500+ customers.
• Design, develop and release high-quality platform software components such as Images, Pipelines/Workflows, Pipelines Stages.
• Create self-service platform operations used by hundreds of application teams.
• Design and develop portable pipelines-as-code for one or more of Bamboo, Argo Workflows, or GitHub Actions.
• Enable customers on/offboard, adopt new features, align with strategy, and get more value from the platform.
• Support systems availability by on call rota outside business hours.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

• Apply GitOps principles leveraging Kubernetes controllers and Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) technologies.
• Apply best practices in docs-as-code and compliance-as-code.
• Apply open standards like Cloud Native Operational Excellence (CNOE), Supply-chain Levels for Software Artifacts (SLSA), and OpenTelemetry.
• Learn and get certified in CNCF Linux foundation technologies.

Skills/Experience for success:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Cloud Infrastructure Engineering.
• Experience migrating data and systems between AWS IaaS and PaaS.
• Experience operating and supporting applications using AWS VPC, EKS, and related services for multi-account operations.
• Experience developing fast and reliable Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) workflows used by hundreds of application teams.
• Experience administering and troubleshooting Operating Systems such as Linux, Windows, and MacOS.

Good to Have:

• Professional Certifications in AWS Networks, CNCF Technologies, or Kubernetes.
• Experience using and configuring observability tools such as ELK, Prometheus/Grafana, AWS CloudWatch, and Jaeger.
• Experience of applied GitOps principles using ArgoCD or Flux.
• Public examples of code you’ve worked on with other people using any of these technologies:
• Configuration management/Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools, such as AWS CDK, AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.
• Systems solutions in one or more programming languages, such as Golang, Python, Java.
• Build, Release, Deploy or Ops Workflows using Bamboo, Argo Project, or GitHub Actions.
