Singtel x Singapore Institute of Technology have embarked on a Work-Study Programme (WSP) launched in Feb 2023. The WSP is called “The Catalyst Programme” which is a structured on-the-job (OJT) development WSP that allows Polytechnic Diploma holders to secure a full-time position with Singtel while pursuing a university honours degree in Infrastructure and Systems Engineering. This programme is open to Singtel’s internal employees as well as external polytechnic diploma holders preferably from the ICT domain. Non-ICT diploma holders are encouraged to apply as well. In line with building capability in Singapore ICT sector this program will develop & groom talent over a 3-year period completing micro-credentials for each module which eventually stack-up to an honours degree in Applied Computing. Candidates will be offered a specific role as the one shared below. Are you ready for this challenge? 

 

Singtel Global Office

Provides Global Network Operations support, service fulfilment and assurance to Singtel Global Customers for in-country Singtel Point-Of-Presences (POPs) and partnership operations support.

 

Key capabilities:

  • Installation and maintenance support for Singtel POPs equipment
  • Management of Singtel POPs co-location premises and facilities
  • Overseas Service Providers engagement support
  • Provides Field-Support for international locations

 

 

  • Gain knowledge in Singtel Enterprise services, including Cplus, Megapop, SD-WAN, Security, and related technologies
  • Support daily operational activities, including handling escalations with overseas local providers for prolonged outages.
  • Provide assistance to Technical Assistance Center (TAC) and Service Management (SM) teams in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and fault resolution across multi-operator network infrastructures.
  • Assist in network infrastructure deployment, maintenance, and management of End-of-Life (EOL) and End-of-Support (EOS) projects.
  • Retrieve and analyze SGOO countries’ OLLC performance Tableau reports monthly; engage with SGOO teams/partners to develop service improvement plans for underperforming countries.
  • Consolidate and maintain the monthly productivity matrix for operational tracking.
  • Support, track, and update procurement activities by engaging vendors on behalf of the SGOO team.
  • Collaborate with team leads in managing ISO technical audits, including ISO 20000, ISO 27000, SGO BCM Certification, and SOC compliance.
  • Implement and document new processes and procedures to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the Data Operations team.
  • Develop understanding of OPEX (Operating Expenses) and CAPEX (Capital Expenditures) for budget planning.
  • Prepare and update SGO Operations’ CAPEX and OPEX annual budgets in the Business Planning Central (BPC) system.
  • Lead assigned projects, prepare related reports, and provide technical guidance to junior team members when needed.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Manager.
